Holy Ark of the Covenants! We are only three and half months away from the opening of INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL and stuff is really starting to leak thick and fast, just as we thought it would.
This is probably my favourite promotional image so far.
I heard this week that an interview with new Empire Magazine has George Lucas telling everyone that the new movie will be more akin to the cheesy sci-fi movies of the 50’s like CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON and THE BLOB (I didn’t read it myself, so I don’t know if those were the movies he actually referenced).
I can dig it… light-hearted was definitely the way to go with this franchise given the age of Harrison.

I am so psyched about this movie right now. Another exciting image that gives clues to the plot (please tell me that someone opens the Ark and we get more head-melting grooviness). As for the 50s sci-fi sensibilities, it makes sense conmsidering the time-frame of the film and should hopefully be carried out in a loving, convincing manner. Bring on that trailer!
