As WOLVERINE edges closer to production we should soon be hearing some official news regarding the film’s cast.
Or not.
Recent history has shown that last minute casting announcements are du jour. Paramount’s STAR TREK cast came into focus pretty late, and no word has come from MGM/Sony in regards to the BOND 22 actors.
Anyhow, back to WOLVERINE. The latest rumour making the rounds is that Natalie Imbruglia - whose surname is a blight on spell checkers everywhere - has tested for a part in the film.
Imbruglia is one of those singers/actresses who perhaps hasn’t fully excelled in either pursuits.
She started out acting in Aussie soap NEIGHBOURS before catching a ride on the rollercoaster of Alanis Morissette imitators in the late 90s. You’ve probably heard her song “Torn” (is that ten years old, already?), if you haven’t then you must have been living on Mars for the past decade. She later starred in JOHNNY ENGLISH, the painfully bad Rowan Atkinson spy spoof.
Maggie Q, Liev Schreiber and Kodi Smit-McPhee are all thought to be joining the cast of the Hugh Jackman movie, which will film in Australia next year.
