My girlfriend is a huge Harry Potter nut but I don’t think she can bring herself to read the last book in the series. I think she understands that this is it now and once she has read that last page… it’s all over. No more Harry Potter books to look forward to in the future.
However, there’s still those two remaining Potter films to get excited over. An Australian news source are reporting that Naomi Watts, Joseph Fiennes and Stuart Townsend have all signed up for roles in the next Harry Potter film.
Apparently Naomi’s role is a supporting one, as she has reportedly signed on to play Draco’s nasty mother Narcissa Malfoy.
You always have to be careful fully believing news stories from sources like these but all those decisions seem to be make sense. They are all pretty consistent with the type of actor the Potter franchise has looked for in the past… and it wouldn’t surprise me if all this was confirmed pretty soon.

First of all I’m no fan of Harry Potter. I tried watching one of the Potter movies, can’t remember which one, but it bored the f*ck out of me, and I don’t like the works of English writers -too damned slow and too…foreign.
That said, someone needs to talk to the girlfriend. I’m a big fan of the Alex Cross series, but if James Patterson dies (he’s about sixty now, though in excellent health) or decides to bring Cross’ series to an end I can’t imagine being so attached to a bunch of fictional characters that I can’t imagine reading their last tale.
It’s just a book people. And not exactly the greatest story ever written either.

You should read some Nick Hornby if you want some fast paced stuff. His works have been turned into the awesome High Fidelity and About a Boy… great movies from great books.
They should have a list: English speaking actors with British “sounding” accents that are currently NOT in HP. Maybe they could squeeze them all in for a cameo…

I know this is WAY off topic here, but I just wanted to say. I saw a couple pics today of Lucy Pinder topless and whatever you Brits have got in the water over there you have got to bottle it and sell it over here. I’ve noticed this for some time now, but it’s onyl today I’ve felt compelled to say something. Every chick in the US looks like a 13 year-old boy, while the English are hogging all the voluptous babes for themselves.
It just ain’t fair!
