Venturing very close to a Microsoft Windows 98 style word art but still, it’s a pretty neat teaser poster for Frank Miller’s debut solo movie The Spirit which once again has a very heavy Sin City feel about it.
You can just imagine the camera swopping up from below with a beating score and straight into the face of a windswept Gabriel Macht who in a gritty voice-over tells us how the women in his life are causing him trouble.
New York Comic Con is merely hours away. We have been promised the first trailer, just how excited for it are you?

I’m really looking forward to seeing this.
I like this poster wayyyy better. It has a real “Will Eisner” feel about it. It’s a lot better than the one with Frank Miller artwork. I hope a lot of new fans, who are not familiar with Eisner’s work, don’t end up thinking Miller created this character…that would be sad.

Thanks, Tommy
This is a VERY cool poster, it’s just spoilt a tiny bit by the font for ‘The Spirit’ – is that even needed on a teaser poster? It would look a lot neater just with the My City Screams.
I don’t agree so much Tommy. This has Miller all over it.
Eisner’s work always had a dramatic dynamic element to it, and this is just boring. He’s standing at the top and the words are the focus.
When Eisner did this, the character was the focus, and the “big words” were nothing more than furniture. That’s how subtle they were………..
Miller, you better not screw this in the a$$! Although, I am kind of hoping that everyone will finally see Miller for the hack he’s become.
Robocop 2? Robocop 3? All Star Batman and Robin? Three steaming piles of Frank Miller dung.
