Morgan Freeman should do the voice-overs for car adverts…

Morgan Freeman is back with another narration, trying to seduce us into seeing another one of his movies.

Has their been actor so over-used, especially vocally in the last fifteen years?

I’m sick of him. His name means nothing to me now and doesn’t get me anywhere near the movie if I know he is going to star in it. His voice would make a pretty cool addition to a car advert though…

The Morgan Freeman skit in Family Guy pretty much says it all. I tried to find a clip… but sadly, Fox sues people who put Family Guy up on YouTube so I failed.

TV Announcer: We now return to Morgan Freeman starring in “The Narrator.”

Morgan Freeman: Ever since I was a little boy, people have enjoyed the sound of my voice. And I figured you either get busy talkin or you get busy dyin’. The work is really quite easy. Why even right now I’m just sitting in a chair, sipping some tea and reading from a script. The wall is covered in something that resembles egg crates except they’re soft and spongy, like a twinkie…like a twinkie.

He has sadly slipped into the ‘Token Black Support Actor’…

Remember all that buzz about a possible Seven 2 with Morgan Freeman being psychic???

Please, this is ridicolous … The man is a great actor and a well respected person … envy is a bad thing, guys, envy is a bad thing.

Oh, and answer to the original post… yes, Samuel L. Jackson has been more over-used in the last 15 years than Freeman. The guy has SEVENTY-FIVE credits listed under acting since ‘93.
