Mike Myers joins INGLORIOUS BASTARDS!

We know Quentin Tarantino enjoys reviving movie careers but I never thought he would go for Mike Myers for one of his flicks! The actor who is probably at the lowest point of his career right now after the widely disliked and hated The Love Guru, has been tapped up for a small role in Quentin’s Inglorious Bastards.

In fact the role is so small, he will only be present in one scene.

Myers will come equipped with his convincing but over-used British accent (or will it be his one note Scottish one?) as a Commander who dispatches officer Archie Hicox (Simon Pegg) to help Aldo Raines (Brad Pitt) and his squad of Inglorious Bastards fight the Nazi’s.

Mike Myers? He can’t do straight, is Tarantino wanting him to do the kind of role Peter Sellers would in movies such as this, like Dr. Strangelove? I would hate to see that.

All the signs point towards Tarantino making a comedy. B.J Novak, Simon Pegg, David Krumholtz and now Mike Myers

Production begins October 13th in Germany. Other cast members are director Eli Roth, and a forgotten German actress by the name of Nastassja Kinski.

And Mr. George Lucas, I have your idea for your next Indy plot. The search for Tarantino’s lost mind.

  1. Maybe this is all a big joke and Quentin is fucking with us all because what was once a huge blockbuster war epic has seemingly turned into some shitty comedy and to add Mike Myers makes this an even shittier comedy lets hope the next casting isn’t Will Ferrell as a Nazi.

  2. Well I have faith in Tarantino still and we shall just have to wait and see how his grand vision turns out and what tone it takes.

Unless Rob Schneider suddenly appears on the cast list, I’ll keep on looking forward to Inglorious Bastards.

  4. i believe in everything he does. Everyone talks shit and then this is gonna come out and blow everyone away. He has yet to make a bad movie. I may disagree with ALOT of the cast but i truly think he knows what he’s doing.

The whole inglorious bastards are supposed to be a jewish nazi hunting brigade.. everyone he has cast for the movie is jewish or could play it. Could you imagine bruce willis or stallone trying to play jewish? it would be horrific.

just give’em a chance and you’ll be surprised.. i hope.

  5. im getting confused with the whole direction and feel to this film now, everyone’s been waiting for tarantino’s style take on world war II pic. prior to this all his films seems to have a certain vibe that connects all of his films together.

when this was announced everyone was waiting for this to continue that feel, 1st brad pitt was announced an he isnt the best actor but i think i fits in to tarantino’s universe well and then mike myers, b j novak, eli roth and simon pegg have been cast??

isn’t this film about a group of nazi killing jews, how the fuck can anyone be scared of these, can anyone imagine mr blonde being played by eli roth??

these actors dont have the attitude that the characters need for this film, i seriously cant imagine what the outcome is going to be like with these actors trying to pull off being bad ass nazi killers, it just seems laughable at the moment.

  6. Man, this is scary. I thought Death Proof was pretty much crap, but I hoped it was just a fluke. Now I’m not so sure.
