No that image above is not an error. That really is the guy who is playing Ace Ventura in the third film of the ‘pet detective’ franchise which will now be Jim Carrey-less, just like Son of the Mask.
The dude’s name is Josh Flitter and he has recently made a career for himself as the chubby sidekick young kid who starred in movies I’ve avoided like License to Wed and Nancy Drew.
Director David Mickey Evans is set to helm and not Steve Oedekerk as we originally thought. The movie is also rumored to be titled Ace Ventura Jr.
Hideous isn’t it and you really can’t help but think of Son of the Mask. The reality of the situation is that sequels to Jim Carrey movies without Carrey himslef, are always disasters and this one sounds particularly awful.
How did this movie ever get greenlit?

WHAT THE FUCK! WHOEVER GREENLIT THIS SHOULD BE SHOT. seriously! and then SHOT AGAIN. repeatedly….I don’t really follow the “ace ventura” movies, but I know that alot of people love the movies and…with knowing what happened with “Son of the Mask” (a disaster I could see from day 1 when it was first greenlighted)…i know how much this will piss off moviegoers.
I see this as moviemakers saying “fuck you” to all previous fans. Who wants to see a little kid TAKE A HUGE SHIT ON the previous 2 movies? Not I. Hollywood really doesn’t care about what we want anymore…

I follow Ace Ventura highly and would hate to see some ripped off version of it which most likely will suck balls…BIG TIME!!!
I’m really gettin’ stressed out here Jim Carrey is a saint no-one in the world can act as well as him (my opinion) and this little kid surely can’t do even a half as good job!
Personally I just think It’s stupid but everyone is entitled to their own opinion…
