Last week we brought you the news that Adrien Brody and Rinko Kikuchi are to join the beautiful Rachel Weisz in Rian Johsnon’s follow up to Brick, titled The Brothers Bloom.
If you recall, the movie is based around two expert con-men brothers who attempt to steal money out of an eccentric billionaire to be played by Weisz. Brody is to play the younger half of the brothers (who subsequently falls in love with Weisz) with Variety reporting today that Mark Ruffalo will be playing the older brother.
Great casting. For me Ruffalo is Hollywood’s best kept secret right now and personally I don’t think it’s going to be long until he becomes a leading actor in Hollywood. I can’t wait to see him in David Fincher’s Zodiac and I wouldn’t be surprised if this time next year he is up for Oscar contention for Reservation Road.
All the talent involved in this is just PERFECT. This just can’t fail.
