In 1981, Karen Allen put in a performance in Raiders of the Lost Ark which truly defined how a strong female character in a blockbuster movie should be played. She was every bit Indy’s equal. She was tough, sexy, smart and is the archetype that I always reference when I think of what a female heroine should be.
The good news is, she is back! We’ve heard all sorts of rumors about the new Indiana Jones movie going back to the original story and taking elements from that… which of course means they couldn’t leave out Karen Allen. She is still looking really good too. So glad to have her back!

Alright! Marion is a top character. Let’s just hope that the script can deliver on the chemistry that Allen and Ford had on Raiders of the Lost Ark and that her appearance isn’t a really contrived, artificial one.
It’s great to see her again. Hope she plays a significant role. And she’s aged a hell of a lot better than Harrison Ford.
Maybe Shia LeBoof’s character is Marion and Indy’s love-chiled. That being the case he definitely favors his mother.
I think it’s pretty much a sure thing that she is the mother.
