Marc Forster won’t be back to direct BOND 23

Like his predecessor Martin Campbell, German born QUANTUM OF SOLACE director Marc Forster is only interested in directing one Bond movie in this new series and will turn down any offers for a return for BOND 23, the third of at least four Daniel Craig-007 movies.

The helmer, best known for his dramatic works FINDING NEVERLAND and STRANGER THAN FICTION, will return to smaller sized productions. Speaking to Cinematical he said…

‘At this point I’d rather go back to doing something smaller,’ he stated, ‘you know, it was a good experience and they’ve been very generous in saying I would love to do the next one with you, but it’s just, you know, it takes like a long time and it’s exhausting and I think it’s important to live life as well and, you know, but I did enjoy it, yeah.’

What is up with that creepy eye?

QUANTUM OF SOLACE opens October 31st (U.K.) and November 18th (U.S.).
