Doomsday has almost finished principal photography, but they are still casting new actors for roles. Malcolm McDowell who might just end up being the one good thing in the Halloween remake has signed on to play a “brilliant scientist” in the flick.
Directed by British helmer Neil Marshal (Dog Soliders, The Descent) the movie stars Rhona Mitra as the head of an elite team of soldiers whose goal it is to prevent a deadly virus from causing Doomsday to the human race.
Bob Hoskins, Alexander Siddig, Adrian Lester and Sean Pertwee will also have roles in the flick.
It’s kinda hard not to think of 28 Days Later when reading the plot synopsis of this British apocalyptic movie. Hopefully Marshal will be able to keep his movie going at a steady pace unlike Danny Boyle’s effort some years back.
