perrineau.jpgHarold Perrineau who plays Michael in Lost has been cast in the zombie thriller 28 Weeks Later. The movie is a sequel to the succesful British horror 28 Days Later and is scheduled to be released in May next year.

Here is the scoop from Coming Soon..

“In the sequel, directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Intacto), Perrineau will play an upbeat American Special Forces pilot who documents and leads to safety the families returning to London after the viral outbreak”.

I’m surprised that this movie has actually managed to sign a semi-star to appear in it. I fully expected it to go with complete unknowns but this casting has to be seen as success for the movie as Perrineau is just starting to make a name for himself in Lost and was great in his small role in The Matrix sequels.

Still I think this movie is going to suck, and if I was Perrineau’s agent I would have advised him to stay well away from it.

Why do you believe tah 28 weeks later will suck. 28 days later was by many accounts a success and wil 28 days later: the Aftermath tracking the virus, its development, the outbreak and leading to the sequel 28 weeks, i believe that this offering will be successful, atleast in Much of Europe
