Speaking of CLOVERFIELD (see below this post), another reason to get excited for the monster movie is the teaser trailer for STAR TREK which will be attached to the picture. So if you venture out to see the monster you will be able to get the very first glance at the new Trek as early as the 18th of January.
Those who stay at home, will be able to see it in Quality HD on Monday 21st when it hits the web.
Or if it gets leaked sooner. But don’t be fooled by this fan-made reel which has tricked several websites across the web… this is a FAKE! It’s a tremendous fake but still a fake nevertheless.
Nimoy’s voice-over is apparently from STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN and the music from the opening of STAR TREK VII: GENERATIONS. Still it’s a cool way to waste a couple of minutes and you can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement over it.
Can’t wait to see the real thing.

I’d give this faker some points for an impressive-looking credits block at the end of this clip (although I doubt Nimoy will get top billing; I’d guess it would be more like “and Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock” or something at the end of the cast list - the prestige spot), but other than that it’s a pretty cheesy fake. The movie might end up being crap, but you’d better bet that Abrams will market it a whole lot better than this.
