Kilmer & Xzibit join BAD LIEUTENANT

An increasingly heavier Val Kilmer has joined the cast of Werner Herzog’s remake but not a remake of the Harvey Keitel early 90’s thriller Bad Lieutenant.

He will play partner to Nicolas Cage, a cop on the edge who is investigating the drug-related murder of five Senegalese illegal immigrants. Eva Mendes joined the cast last month.

The Hollywood Reporter also kindly tell us that rapper Xzibit who can next be seen in The X-Files: I Want to Believe, will play one of the bad guys, Big Fade.

Other castings include Brad Dourif, Jennifer Coolidge, Denzel Whitaker and more!

The movie is expected to shoot this summer and is a Nu Image/Millennium Films production.

  2. That is the worst photoshopped mess of a val kilmer pic I have ever seen. If you want to see what he really looks like, email me and i’ll send some unretouched photos from this summer.

  3. Can Xzibit act? Can he put across any kind of charm or character?

Seriously, my impression of the man is that he’s a cardboard cut-out ‘gangsta rap’ cliche who ruins Pimp My Ride. Bland bloke with no persona beyond his bullshit attempts to pose as a hardman whilst the personable cast of engineers and mechanics around him do the entertaining and creating.

On the other hand, the presence of Brad Dourif balances things up a bit…
