New Regency are remaking THE PRESTIGE as a wedding rivarly movie.
Well not really, at least not officially, but if you swap magicians with best friends who are competing over whose wedding is superior when ‘the happiest days of their life’ clash… then you get the idea.
The movie will star the geeky but very sexy Anne Hathaway who will be competing against Kate Hudson with 13 GOING ON 30 director Gary Winick to helm.
The film will shot early next year from a script that was turned in pre-strike by first time feature writers Casey Rose Wilson and June Raphael.
Not the type of film we usually give much time to around here but what the hell, I have a soft spot for Anne Hathaway. And well, my girlfriend likes movies about weddings so I doubt I will be able to avoid this one when it hits wide in 2009.
