Justin Marks, the big name screenwriter of the upcoming adaptations of 80’s pop culture with Voltron, Masters of the Universe, Street Fighter and his “Green Arrow in Prison” movie Super Max - has been hired for more work says Variety.
Marks will pen the script for Rogue Pictures adaptation of the Devil’s Due Publishing comic Hack/Slash, which is rumored to star Megan Fox in the lead role as a young woman who travels the country and takes on homicidal manics and serial killers along the way.
It’s described as a horror/action comedy.
The plot sounds a little dumb if I’m being honest - a little too “comic guy fanboy” for seeing a half naked serial killing chick travelling around the country.
And speaking of Marks - let’s hope he’s as good as the projects on his slate would suggest. Our first glimpse at his final work will be on Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li when it opens sometime next year.

I do think it’s a dumb decision too, especially considering that the Hack/Slash Comics (which I loved btw) are “only” a mock up of genre hits like Friday the 13th and the likes…so why should one make a script based on a comic book parody based on another script so to say…

Also, is Megan Fox even good for the role? She looks too soft.
