JUSTICE LEAGUE will have a new title

George MillerDespite lots of silence regarding the film, including Warner Brothers complete embarrassment over their cast and their failure to confirm, deny or just plain announce who is going to be in their flick, the word from director George Miller himself is that the JUSTICE LEAGUE film is still on track.

Interestingly he also mentioned that the film would have a new title, which is something that was briefly discussed mid-summer when it was speculated that Hollywood would have problems finding a worldwide audience if they called the film JLA, or JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA because of the U.S. public image with foreign markets.

This is something that effected SUPERMAN RETURNS two years ago when the famous Perry White catchphrase, ‘truth, justice and the American way’ was to changed to, ‘truth, justice and all that stuff’ for a fear that branding Supes with an American tag would damage the reputation of the film worldwide.

Personally I would have just gone with JUSTICE LEAGUE. It’s simple and sounds pretty iconic and it doesn’t have that America bit tagged onto the end which would solve this problem and also sounds very old school comic book-ish anyway.

I’m now fearing some crappy Hollywood title with this one. Something like SUPERHERO’S UNITED, which just gives me the shivers. Inevitable though that it will be something as bad as that.

Maybe they’ll call it MURPHY’S BY-LAW: Whatever WB CAN screw up, they WILL screw up.
Every time I think they’ve made the dumbest decisions imaginable on this flick, they turn around and do me one even better.
At this point I’ve got higher hopes for Punisher:War Zone than Justice League–oops, I mean “The Movie,” formerly known as “Justice League.”

All the excitement has been beaten out of me. The coming of this film seems like a dire threat and punishment, instead of the initial joy the news brought. Oh, innocent August and September, how starry-eyed and naive we were.

Yep! they really are cocking it up with the geeks with this one.
perhaps the marketing plan is to go the way of the CLOVERFIELD bollocks and say nowt till the day before it’s released.
I personally think Miller is waiting to release a full ensemble photo(Probably in full costume.) of the cast for Maximum effect and with it’s new title…POWER RANGERS the return is going to wow the geeks(which I might add, by the sounds of it have already moved on!)that’s not good is it?
I thought that’s who these film are for in the end, the Geeks.
And Warners has already lost them.
