Josh Hartnett heads to Hong Kong for thriller

244_hartnett_josh_091906.jpgJosh Hartnett has been hired to star in Anh Hung Tran’s next movie I Come with the Rain, which will begin shooting in Hong Kong this June.

Hartnett will play a private detective who, haunted by a past encounter with a serial killer, heads for the Far East to search for a missing heir who has the power to heal with his touch. Tran Nu Yen Khe also stars.

Sounds like typical Hartnett fodder but it’s the type of role he can play off quite while. I thought he was pretty good in carrying the flawed movie The Black Dahlia.

Hartnett’s got a few movies upcoming which I’m looking forward too. A low budget Rod Lurie drama co-starring Samuel L. Jackson titled Resurrecting the Champ which is said to hit cinema’s in August then the comic book adaptation of 30 Days of Night which if it’s anything like it’s source material… it should be a fine movie.
