Christopher Nolan’s version of Batman’s suit split Bat fanatics right down the middle. I mean yes, it was clearly better than the George Clooney “nipple” suit from Batman & Robin but still many people felt it was too heavy and not really mobile.
Personally, I loved it. I thought the suit fitted into Nolan’s vision of Gotham perfectly.
Coming Soon have got the scoop from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly which show a great full body shot of the suit and wow, they have improved on the Begins version so much.
The suit now looks way more maneuverable and now looks PART of Bruce Wayne, rather than just a uniform he wears. In this film it’s clear that Batman is his character and his suit is his clothes. Not the clothes what Bruce wears.
Next up, we have the first look at the Joker’s car, which Latino Review have kindly posted online and is the image that fills the top left hand corner of this post.
I think I might just reserve my comments on this one until I see it in the context of the film but I’m not quite sure how this will fit Nolan’s Gotham. A 30’s style car is still pretty neat though I can’t imagine us seeing a high speed chase scene again like the 3rd act of the last film.

No “feelings” to it, it WAS stiff. Look at the fight scenes. They were excrutiating to watch. Bale could barely move, and looked as agile as a hippo. That’s why they were forced to hyper-edit the fight scenes so that they cut nearly every second, to cover up (and very poorly at that) that Bale couldn’t move. The suit looked good, but Bale couldn’t move in it for shit. Why can’t these costume designers make a suit an actor can actually move in? They did it in Daredevil.
I don’t like this design of this new suit though. Looks like it belongs in a sequel to Tron rather than Batman Begins.
I hated the heavily edited fight scenes and your explanation for why that must have been so sounds exactly right, I never thought of that.
