The graphic novel series Rex Mundi is to be brought to the big screen, with Johnny Depp locked in to star. The script will be written by Fight Club scribe Jim Uhls.

“Rex Mundi is a quest for the Holy Grail told as a murder mystery. It’s set in 1933 in an alternate history Europe where magic is real and the Protestant Reformation never happened”.

Depp will be playing the lead role of Rex Mundi. This sounds pretty cool to me, I’ve always been fascinated with stories of the Holy Grail whether it’s King Arthur, Indiana Jones or The Da Vinci Code. I’m not a religous person or anything but I’m fascinated to see the lengths that people will go to find it, both fictional and historical.
