John Singleton involved in fatal car crash

John Singleton39 year old Oscar-nominated director John Singleton was involved in a fatal car crash on Thursday night when the Lexus SUV he was driving hit a 57 year old female jaywalker who jumped in front of his car. Singleton, unhurt from the collision, stopped his car immediately and waited for the police.

The accident took place in the Los Angeles’ Jefferson Park neighborhood, where Police Officer Jason Lee, released this statement to the press…

“Mr. Singleton stopped and identified himself as required by law and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” Lee said. “He was questioned and released.”

Singleton is an acclaimed director whose debut film Boyz n the Hood in 1991 won him a best director and best writing nomination and has since helmed seven movies, the most well known being his recent movies Shaft, 2 Fast 2 Furious and Four Brothers.

The director is currently on pre-production for the Halle Berry/Billy Bob Thornton flick Tulia.

  1. He should have done like Lindsay Lohan– gotten high on coke, drunk on Wild Turkey and taken the cops on a high-speed chase across three counties and crash his car into a steetlamp pole. Instead he stopped and waited calmly, took repsonsibiltiy for what he did…shocking!

    Isn’t he supposed to be from L.A.? Doesn’t he know how things work out there? Loosen up, John! A car accident’s no fun without drugs, alcohol and a pathetic attempt to get away while endangering the lives of other motorists and pedestrians alike.

    John Singleton is 39. Old as he looks I don’t want anyone sporting him any years. This has been another useless fact.
