The first images from the set of John Hancockhave made their way online. The movie stars Will Smith as a “superhero in crisis” who tries to allure the wife of an insurance guy (Jason Bateman), who just happens to be the very hot Charlize Theron.
Peter Berg directs the film which comes out in July next year.
Is he drinking and flying? Surely that’s illegal. Not quite the look I was expecting but I’m intrigued all the same.

Come on! A superhero with sneakers, shorts and a wool pullover cap on his head? Seems Peter Berg’s been drinking from the same stereotype well as Michael Bay.
Okay, so we’ve got a “hero” who can fly, no doubt has above-normal strength, and rather than trying to save the world, like most superheroes do, instead he’s in a love triangle with another guys’ wife. Sounds like a shittier version of Superman Returns.
And Will Smith. I suppose this is what you’re reduced to. At least I know I can skip this flick.
I’ll admit, the look of the character has me less than enthralled but Will Smith rarely disappoints.
Your right Matt, I think with basically any other actor this film would be a big flop but if Will Smith is in a film it always has a chance as most of his performances are great.
