Joel Silver says JUSTICE LEAGUE movie is “tabled”
At a press junket for his upcoming movie Speed Racer, powerful producer Joel Silver says the Justice League movie over at Warner Bros. has been “tabled”.
The Free Dictionary describes “tabled” as…
To postpone consideration of (a piece of legislation, for example); shelve.
So does that mean it’s being considered to be cancelled and isn’t actually cancelled just yet?
Can we all hope for a complete retcon?

I’ve bewailed and criticized this film more than anyone, but I’m still sad. When JL was announced last fall, I was hyped and pumped, ready to defend it against all the benighted, “Give us a billion origin trilogies first!” fanboys. AUs sounded good to me. I’d get to have my solo films and my shared universe films. It was like announcing “Free ice-cream all around!”
Then came the first sign of trouble with the wretched casting rumors. After that, came news of dumbed-down script re-writes, multiple delays, and Miller seemingly off his rocker. Oh, it pains me. I’m dying for a Justice League movie!

What will most likely happen now is that a JLA will never get made.

Good, and good riddance.

Oh, Lencho, you make me so sad. After all this strife, I can easily see them decided to never attempt a Justice League film again.

Silver said that the WW film was on hold because of this film. Now he’s saying it’s back on schedule. I don’t know. Unless of course it’s part of WB’s plan to release multiple films during the next couple of years to play catch up to Marvel. And a plan like that will guarantee some duds.

I REALLY hope this movie still happens.
If there is no JLA film next year, WB will have NO summer tentpole for 09.
BRING ON THE JLA FILM!!!
IT WILL BE AWESOME!!!
I hope this still happens.
I’m fine with the cast.
