Having seen his kids comedy SYDNEY WHITE flop this weekend, director Joe Nussbaum is quickly looking ahead at his next picture which will be aimed at a somewhat different audience.
The Hollywood Reporter say that the director will shoot B.F.F, a R-rated comedy for Rogue Pictures which currently has a winter start date attached. “B.F.F.,” stands for “best friends forever,” and is apparently a term used among teens today. Ah, those crazy kids.
From two writers of PUSHING DAISIES, the story follows two friends, a guy and a girl, over four years of high school, four proms and one funeral as they become unlikely best friends and eventually fall in love.
Sounds like an accelerated version of DAWSON’S CREEK, but in this case R-Rated of course, which thankfully means no Amanda Bynes in site!
