Jurassic Park III helmer Joe Johnston has denied reports that he is set to direct a fourth installment of the dino-franchise. A representative for Johnston told reporters from MTV who were quizzing him about the project that he “is defintely not directing” Jurassic Park IV.
This comes less than a week after Laura Dern’s comments where she said “I’m told its happening and I’m told they’re calling me. I’m told that Ellie Sattler is involved in it”.
Everything is very sketchy for the movie at this point, I don’t think anyone knows anything for sure.
Of course they should just let the franchise be, but Steven Spielberg is on some kind of nostalgia trip to re-live the past at the moment, so you know he is going to push for this thing to be made.
I’m waiting on an announcement that he’s directing a remake of Jaws or something next…. God that’s a scary thought right there, could you imagine?
