Isn’t she a beauty?

Love it, clean, simple, efficient and very faithful to the design of the original ship from the 60’s show and later movies.

Entertainment Weekly call it a blending of the t.v. show’s design and the later films designs and I have to agree… great job!

J.J. Abrams says…

“If you’re going to do Star Trek there are many things you cannot change. The Enterprise is a visual touchstone for so many people. So if you’re going to do the Enterprise, it better look like the Enterprise, because otherwise, what are you doing?”

The image also keeps the clean apple store vibe the shots from inside the ship also carried.

Meanwhile, today the lucky guys at Empire got to see a huge 20-30 minute chunk from next May’s most anticipated geek release.

In short they LOVED IT (they were never going to say they hated this exclusive footage they were shown though were they?)

In depth and full of spoiler discussions which should put you on HIGH RED ALERT, you can read by CLICKING HERE.

Trailer soon guys, very soon (attached to QUANTUM OF SOLACE in the U.S. and officially online Monday but probably sooner via illegal bootlegged methods).

Pardon my French, but who actually gives a shit about this?

Probably the hundreds of thousands of Trek fans out there, bless them.

Who actually gives a shit about a $150 million blockbuster summer movie with action and effects to rival Star Wars? Oh, a few people, I suspect.

Never been that big of a Star Trek fan. I think its the fact that their uniforms look completely ridiculous. Plus, seriously how many undiscovered planets can there be left? Didn’t they find a new one EVERY single episode almost? It was the same thing with a slight difference in what the inhabitants looked like every show.

How many undiscovered planets can there be left? Last time I checked it was kind of a big universe, KC.

And the aliens were never about exotic appearances in ST. Aside from budgetary constraints, this was because Trek was always a People show. Bizarre aliens can distract from that. Try watching it.

God that thing is so ugly. I think Abrams wants to make sure the star trek franchised is killed once and for all.
