An odd pairing to be sure but it’s been confirmed by Sony/MGM nevertheless that Jack White (of The White Stripes fame) and R & B singer Alicia Keys have already recorded the main theme song “Another Way to Die” for the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
It appears White has wrote and produced the track as well as providing vocals and playing the drums.
It is the first duet in Bond history and it will be released on J Records on October 28th 2008, just a few short days before the movie opens in the U.K.
Amy Winehouse had been heavily rumored for over a year now, leading some to believe her personal problems and bad press have lost her this lucrative deal.
More outlandish rumors chronicled the names of Duran Duran! (who provided the title song for A View to a Kill), Annie Lennox and Beyonce.
The last song from Chris Cornell for Casino Royale took a LONG, LONG time to grow on me, and I don’t think it was actually until I saw the movie in the theartre with that awesome opening credits sequence that it worked for me.
Hate the title “Another Way to Die”, sounds like a really bad late-Pierce Brosnan picture!

I love Jack White and his Raconteurs project, so I’m looking forward to the track.
Good news, White is incredibly talented and Keys has got a whole lot of soul. I’d expect this to be excellent.
Love Alicia Keyes, never heard of the White guy though.
Umm Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes, Jay?
I’m sure it’ll be great.
