The First image of the Iron Man suit has come through, and the poor thing looks like it has been stored away in some basement somewhere!
Jon Favreau, just liked he promised is looking to stay close to the original premise of the comics… even so far as featuring the gray Iron Man suit as opposed to the red and yellow or gold.
The suit looks clunky, it looks heavy and that flame thrower looks SOOO bad ass.
The image of the suit is below, whilst the image on the left is from the first ever issue that featured the character of Iron Man from the 1960’s series Tales of Suspense.
If you ask me, Iron Man is shaping up far better than any of us could have imagined.

I have a feeling it won’t be grey for the whole movie. I have little doubt that the more colourful suit will make an appearance in the third act, I mean after all it was the main image of the teaser poster.
He looks more like ‘The Iron Giant’ then ‘Iron Man’. I really hope they switch to the red and gold suit instead.
I’m assuming this is the first suit that Tony Stark uses to escape during the first half of the film. Then in the second half he designs and uses the classic (or ultimate) version of his Iron Man armor.
