The Hollywood Reporter claim that some industry expects believe that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will over-take last year’s Spider-Man 3 as the biggest opening film of all time. To do that it will have to rake in over $151 million over four days… but as I said last year if any movie could do it apart from The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 4… it would be Indy.
Speaking of our favourite adventurer, one criticism I keep hearing from the reviews online is that the movie uses too much C.G.I – a presence whose absence in Raiders of the Lost Ark has played a great part in that movie still being as fun and enjoyable today as it was over two decades ago. Here’s a new cartoonish poster for the film which I’m hoping doesn’t turn into the ridicilous.
Michael is seeing it tonight and will have a review up for us, I’m seeing it at midnight tomorrow with a review forthcoming and then Ray will no doubt add his two cents to the table. Let’s hope the movie is fun… but not silly, right?

Matt, you love Batman too much, and Indiana Jones WAY too much. I can’t wait for this movie to debut so the folks who are orgasming over it will stop.
Enough with the undue adulation, let’s just get it over with so we can look forward to something that’s actually good.
What do you like, JaySmack?
orgasming?… that got nothing to do with movies … My doctor says it has to do with my prostate and my balls.
Anyway, after the Indy frenzy, I’m anxious to now about the Sodeberg and Benicio Del Toro movie about Che Guevara … It feels to me that another oscar is in the horizon for Del Toro for this performance. It supposed to be in the competition in Cannes tomorrow … or so I read. Please, somebody in frenchland watch that movie and post a review.
“you love Batman too much” – Blasphemy!
PS: Why so serious?
I hope Indiana Jones comes at least close to that record…i want it to do well, but i dont feel too great about the CGI thing. Would Spielberg really depend that much on CGI when he knows its all about the physical and tacticle things we love?
anyways, im still extremely excited, but not orgasmic lol. But I do really want to enjoy this movie.!!
Ehmmm, Those 151 m. that Indy IV wishes to do over 5 days, Spidey did in 3! Even if Indy achieves that, it doesn’t really sound like a fair contest, does it?
