There’s something strikingly beautiful about the trailer for INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL.
It’s a blend of Spielberg’s vision and the cinematography of the great Janusz Kaminski who he has worked with over the last 15 years on film after film.
They are making classical movies. Films that look like films. Timeless pieces of art, two of the greatest film-making duo’s working today.
And not since RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK has an Indiana Jones movie looked as good as this. And yes, there’s going to be Aliens. This is a screen-grab from the trailer…
There looks to be some killer action sequences in this thing and you just know there is going to be so much more to this that has been left out for us to see in May.
Yeah I didn’t need all the build up at the beginning. Yeah I could have done with seeing some more of Harrison as Indy and the trailer maybe cuts to fast to actually see what is going on but I like that. This is a great tease of a trailer.
I’m off to see BE KIND REWIND now (sorry to those I need to e-mail back, I will try and get everything done tonight) but I can’t help but think that John Williams score is going to be playing over and over again in my head.
Less than 100 days to go now.
SHUT UP MATT AND GIVE ME THE LINK TO THE GOD DAMN TRAILER!!!

Yeah, that trailer was great. I can’t say it was as great as i hoped, but it met my expectations. Seeing Harrison as Indy again was really awesome, he will never fall out of that role, however old. It’s definitely made me think bck to when I first saw Raiders of the Lost Ark, for a good minute. I’m excited.

Wow, it suddenly struck me how interesting it would be to see another trilogy of an old and grizzled Indy. There is a lot there to tap into.
Also, that one shot of Shia turning around in a dramatic fashion left me with a feeling that maybe he could handle the franchise if they were to turn it over to him. Although, I still hate the idea overall.
All in all a really fun trailer. Speilberg really knows how to create iconic characters. That first shot of Indy’s shadow in the car putting the hat on sent tingles down my spine.
