“I LOVE THIS JOB” - Sixth DARK KNIGHT T.V. Spot!!!

I’m in London right now (which explains short amount of posts) and I swear, I must have seen about 20 guys wearing Batman logo t-shirts. I know in the last few months, fashion shops have gone crazy adding Batman lines to their products and they seem to have sold really well.

But the real explosion fever hasn’t quite hit yet. I was too young to remember the mass hype that surrounded the 1989 release of Tim Burton’s BATMAN but I hear about it all the time. The legendary tales of men stealing poster one-sheets from bus shelters and queues that would run around street corners for the opening night.

The opening weekend of Batman Begins was moderately quiet, people still cautious after what Joel Schmaucher did to the franchise some 8 years earlier. The Dark Knight hype hasn’t quite reached the streets of the U.K. yet, but it will very soon.

This thing is going to be big. Posters, billboards, t.v. spots, clothing. Bat-Mania is coming.

These t.v. spots are getting better and better… but I sincerely hope Nolan has kept lots of things out of these trailers because so far we have seen SOOOOO much!

  1. at this point, what I can only wish is for is this…

i hope that TDK is really stock-full of good stuff that all these awesome things we’re getting from all the viral marketing is just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak.

although people have been commenting that Nolan and whoever’s in charge of the promotions for TDK have ‘left little to the imagination’, i still wish the actual movie itself would be brimming with more tricks in the bag.

    as i write this, there’s already a 7th, 8th, and 9th TV Spot (source: comingsoon.net)
