Hitman: The Movie Details

Agent 47.jpgAlthough announced last year, there hasn’t been much happening regarding this movie, until now. Thanks to the guys at Dark Horizons, we now have more details on the plot of the movie and the general state the production is in..

“The story centers on an international assassin known as Agent 47 who works for a mysterious org dubbed the Agency. Alter says that (writer) Skip Wood’s script has been turned in and has been “Extremely well received by everyone at the studio” according to the producers and the studio should be going out to directors soon”.

If the script manages to keep the serious and tense tone of the game and not camp it up in any way, then this movie should be really good. The game was always very cinematical with a extremly intruging main character in Agent 47.

So currently we are without a director and the majority of the cast, only Vin Diesel is currently signed to play Agent 47. If the studio manages to get a decent director, and Vin Diesel plays the role seriously and not as a fun action movie then this should be good stuff. I always thought Vin Diesel had the potential to be a good actor, i really liked his short role in Saving Private Ryan. Hitman is scheduled to be released next year.

Ah, I was actually going to suggest you should talk about games to films for your next podcast and your opinion on them.

Vin Diesel seems to look the part but I don’t think he’s a strong enough actor for the role, I see it being a flop. Splinter Cell: The Movie also out next year.
