Hannibal Rising focuses on a young Hannibal Lecter and tells the story of how he became the ruthless serial killer that we all know from the movies.. Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal.
Apparently the film will focus on three different periods of young Hannibal’s life, from his childhood in Lithuania to his teenage years in France, up to his killings in America before he is caught.
Lame idea? Yeah I think so… who cares about a young Hannibal Lecter, we will be watching the movie wanting Anthony Hopkins to show up but he ain’t in the movie.

Hannibal Rising comes out in February in the U.S. with the UK release date currently unknown.
