HAMMER time for BATMAN

So we are expecting a big casting announcement this weekend of the young guys and gals who will be suiting up as DC’s biggest costumed characters for the much fan maligned JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA movie.

Saturday morning has arrived and there’s still no concrete news.

However there are rumors. BOF has gotten word of who might have been cast as The Dark Knight in the 2009 ensemble movie…

They say it will be inexperienced 21 year old American actor Armie Hammer, who has distinguished himself which such credited roles as ‘Male Perfect’ in FLICKA and ‘Abercrombie Boy’ in the upcoming comedy SPRING BREAKDOWN.

GREAT!

This is the only picture I can find of the dude…

Armie Hammer

Shocking isn’t it?

There are more rumors about JLA below… (just remember that’s what they are at this point)

This is continuity suicide, the exact thing that killed Trek. Nolan and Burton established Wayne as not becoming Batman until his late-twenties, and not taking up crime-fighting proper until his was thirty.

Is this JLA supposed to be in a parallel universe? Damn, this project is going down faster than I ever dared imagine.

Dear God– did you really compare the kid from Flicka to Michael Keaton? Michael Keaton had done Clean & Sober. Beetlejuice. The Squeeze Yes, it was a controversial choice, but nothing like this CW reject with no lead roles to his name and the face of a middle schooler. This kid looks too young to play freakin’ ROBIN.

  11. I’m not comparing this dude with Micheal Keaton, Believe me I was there when it all happened, there was practically Mass hysteria with the Geeks when Keaton was cast(it just wasn’t on the net at that time.) and I was one of the only people I knew that quite like his casting as I’d seen some of his other films.(Most people hadn’t and didn’t know who keaton was apart from Mr Mom.)
There is the same hysteria about this JLA film just as there was about Burton’s original film and look how that turned out,Pretty well for the most part and I always thought it got much better for the secong film and of course by that time the geeks hailed Burton as the next Messiah!

O ye of way too much faith. For every Batman of Burton quality, we are force fed a dozen Daredevils. I wouldn’t put so much stock in this one.

  1. [...] lo que pasa es que Warner Bros. ha condicionado el poder perder el papel a desvelos prematuros. Obsessed With Film por su parte se saca de la manga un nombre menos creíble para interpretar a Batman. Un actor [...]
