You know, if this trailer was for a movie called Halloween 9 and was directed by Rob Zombie… I would be perfectly happy about.
I mean hell, this trailer looks like the best Halloween movie in at least a decade. I understand he “loves” the original movie, and if he had shot a Halloween movie that just had homage’s to the original instead of being a remake…. then I would be excited for this…. well mildly anyway.
It’s just with a remake as good as the John Carpenter classic, the inevitable comparing each scene by scene… means that this film is always going to be on the losing end.
And one thing that I have to flag straight away with this trailer is…. Why is Michael Myers lit so brightly? Isn’t he suppose to be in the shadows, lurking? You should never really get a full on glimpse of him in sunlight.

Just wanted to point out a few things about the original Halloween that seem to have gone astray. Michael did run in the original in order to jump on the roof of the station wagon at the sanitarium. Michael was seen several times in the daylight in the original. Michael’s identity (face) was reveiled, and though he did’nt speak words he was not completely silent either. All said I think the only thing that does’nt look better than the original is the mask, to me they missed the mark, mostly the hair, but beggers can’t be choosers.
