Guy Ritchie is “Static”

GR.jpgIt seems that the terrible reviews and bad box office takings for his last movie Revolver, hasn’t put off Guy Ritchie from staying in the gangster genre. It’s been announced that he is set to rewrite and direct Static, a gangster flick for Columbia Pictures.

Static centers around a wrongly imprisoned gangster, who along with his loyal followers, must make their way across town through rival gangs and bent cops in order to testify aganist the dirty crooks who put him away.

I’m not a fan of the British gangster movie, which invetiably means that i’m not a fan of Ritchie as that’s all he makes. I found Snatch the only one I even remotely liked.

There’s no chance of me going to see this in cinema’s but it will be interesting to see if Revolver has put off british gangster/Ritchie fans.

Both Lock Stock and Snatch are fantastic movies. I’m leaning towards the former now as I think I’ve over-watched Snatch. But neither compare to Layer Cake; my favourite British gangster flick.
