19 years ago Harrison Ford, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were filming what they then thought would be the last adventure for the world’s most famous archaeologist with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. At the same time Tim Burton and co. were in England filming Jack Nicholson as The Joker for his Batman film, with both films released in 1989.
2007 really is the new 1988. Right now, Christopher Nolan is shooting his Batman movie with Heath Ledger as The Joker and of course Lucas, Spielberg and Ford are shooting Indy again what they believe to be their last Indiana Jones film.
Where will we be in twenty years time from today? Will Indiana Jones be remade by some young punk director? Will Batman being going through another franchise re-boot? I know it’s strange to think that, but if you told the respective crew of both films what’s happening right now… they simply wouldn’t believe you.
The image below was taken on Friday from the film’s set in New Haven, Connecticut and it shows Harrison Ford as Indy Jones and his “greaser” son Shia Labeouf.

Can you imagine the she-male, ShiaLeBoof in an Indiana Jones movies? I couldn’t and it says a lot about Spielberg that his standards have dropped this low.
Oh well…at least Harrison’s back. But damn will I be glad when LeBoof finally has a drug overdose or the studios realize what a crappy actor he is, or something. Didn’t his fifteen minutes of fame run out two days ago? This guy stinks BIG TIME!
WTF…………………………….
I’ve got to believe that in twenty years (probably less) that Hollywood will be off their sequel/remake kick (they’re going to run it into the ground sooner or later) and they’ll be on to new, original material.
And I hate to break it to you, Jay, but Shia LaBeouf is going to be around for a long, long time.
“jaysmack”, you can jus go fuck goat for all i care. Shia got something that mostly all actors are missing nowadays…heart. he got a lot of it and i love him for it. he’s not partying til 2 in the morning and shaving his head. he has a great personality and knows where he’s going. and i agree with Steve Grassel, “Shia is going to be around for a long, long time.”
Chelsea, since your parents are siblings I’ll excuse your stupid little tirade –as if a careless asswipe like you could give any other kind of response.
But I gotta tell you, I’m surprised they have internet service in your part of the trailer park. Do you just pirate it off other people’s phone lines, the way you do your cable TV?
Don’t answer that. It would take valuable time away from you watching those Jerry Springer reruns you love so much.
Say, why don’t you go fuck a goat? It’s the closest to sex you’ll ever get, unless you’ve finally bought some new batteries for your three-cycle Vibrato-1000, that is.
Speaking of things you should get –I suggest you get a man (assuming you aren’t one) get a clue, or better yet, get a job! Kissing She-Male LeBoof’s talentless ass can’t pay too much.
And no, he won’t be around for long. Unless Spielberg keeps throwing this punk work. Or you decide to give him some acting lessons.
And no, acting like an ass (i.e. like you) isn’t what I mean.
wow…harsh.
i liked shia labeouf. but thats just me.
