Pixar are truly amazing. Has any studio ever had a run of quality movies like they have? Every single one of their films has hit what I like to call the “magic 3″. Firstly, they all turned a profit; second, they’ve been critically well received; and finally and most importantly they’ve made audiences happy.

Zack Snyder’s next movie is SUCKER PUNCH, the all female cast $100 million budgeted film set in the 1960s, described as Alice in Wonderland with machine guns. Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Evan Rachel Wood, Emma Stone and Abbie Cornish star. He has turned down the chance to direct a 300 sequel, dismissed talk of a WATCHMEN sequel but has announced desires to make THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and an adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s THE ILLUSTRATED MAN.

Hmm, I’m not sure “gorgeous” is the right word Will. More like “will make good background wallpaper in your local multiplex”. It hints at the high-quality of the CGI and at Pixar’s excellence, but it doesn’t have me falling over myself.
