Mel Gibson was promoting his upcoming movie Apocalypto this week with MTV when the question of further installments to the Mad Max and Lethal Weapon series came up. His answer…. no way.

On Mad Max… “They were talking about making one…. but, you know, I don’t know. I’m gettin’ a little long in the tooth for that one”.
On Lethal Weapon…. “Oh no, I don’t want to go there again…oh boy was that done to death. I just want to do things that really give me a kick”.
Both franchises should be left for dead IMO, there isn’t much point in reviving them. Gibson’s career is too far removed now to ever go back to that sort of role.
His next movie about the Maya Civilization titled Apocalypto is set to be released on December 8th in U.S. and a month later in the UK on January 5th.
