It would seem that the following is the logo that Paramount will be adopting for next year’s big tentpole release G.I. JOE as used by the toy images present at Toy Fair in New York over the weekend…
They’ve gone for a much more simple but maybe not as fun white on black text, as opposed to the more colourful classic logo. Paramount are certainly trying to take the “American” feeling of the franchise…
Expect much more on G.I. JOE as filming is underway right now. This production is much like IRON MAN and THE DARK KNIGHT last Summer where people were stalking every set, every god damn movement. I would certainly expect some more set photo’s… did you miss that one of Dennis Quaid as General Hawk? Looked pretty sweet.

You have to remember, I don’t know anything about G.I. JOE… I’m a total virgin to this stuff.
So from my perspective you have Stephen Sommers, a director who I’ve always enjoyed his passion for movies but maybe not so much his final product.
Though THE MUMMY was cool.
And then you have a big army movie, with some interesting cast names like Ray Park, Dennis Quaid, Joseph-Gordon Levitt… etc.
They have some good actors in this.
I’m not saying it will be great but I’m certainly interested.

But Dude, It’s still just the american version of Action Man isn’t it? if it was the Dirty Dozen I’d be on board but it sounds like a cartoon flick to me.

In the UK G.I.JOE was known as Action Force, people here know this right?……..Personally I grew up with Action Force, I had the toys and everything. Im really looking forward to this movie and im going to keep an open mind until I see the trailer. Dismissing the film without seeing any footage is kind of ignorant in my view.

On IESB they have the same logo, but it looks more like the old one since there is red, white, and blue.
