Bloody Disgusting say GHOST RIDER 2 is out to writers.
Columbia Pictures are moving ahead with a sequel to the 2007 Nicolas Cage movie which earned $228 million worldwide from a budget of $110 million.
It was enough to call the movie a success and director Mark Steven Johnson looks to be getting a sequel to this Marvel character, unlike DAREDEVIL which despite it’s problems was a far superior film and had lots more room for sequel improvement.
Clint Eastwood’s next movie is THE HUMAN FACTOR based on John Carlin’s book Playing the Enemy. It’s a look at the life of Nelson Mandela after the fall of apartheid in South Africa during his first term as president when campaigned to host the 1995 Rugby World Cup event as an opportunity to unite his countrymen. Morgan Freeman plays Mandela, Matt Damon the Rugby team captain Francois Pienaar. The movie is due out in December, just in time for Oscar season.

Does not deserve a sequel at all, but hey’they’ve made three Punisher movies and all of those were crap flops yet they still managed to give him 3 films.
Totally agree with The Gloves PUNISHER comments: the films did indeed suck a big one, but you cant help but be charmed by the character. I just wish someone would step in and make him a film that is suited to his cult status (CONSTANTINE is in exactly the same boat).
With GHOST RIDER I just think everything was poorly thought through- the casting most notably- Ive not been a fan of anything Cage has “acted” in since ADAPTATION, and wish he would go back to making films like LEAVING LAS VEGAS, RAISING ARIZONA and the like. Even THE FAMILY MAN and CITY OF ANGELS outplay the majority of the shit he continues to put his name to these days.
Not that we should be surprised- anyone who has seen THE COTTON CLUB could testify to his remarkable lack of any type of talent, so it’s miraculous he even manages to make any money as an actor.
Mark Steven Johnson is a tool. They need to get new blood behind the camera.
