Gail Forces Blowing

berman_gail.jpgI looks like Gail Berman’s short tenure with Paramount Pictures will be even shorter. Berman, the president of Paramount, resigned her position on Wednesday afternoon.

Bad news for Paramount. Good news for movie fans.

Berman, who accepted the position with Paramount, had previously made her mark in television as producer of such hit series as “The Sopranos.” She then worked at Fox Television, helping to shape such mega hits as “24″ and “American Idol.”

Her controversial four-year deal at Paramount made her the youngest female President of a major motion picture studio. Many inside and outside the studio doubted her qualifications in the movie business, and others often chafed at her abrasive style. Despite this, she led Paramount back into prosperous waters with several hits, including “Nacho Libre,” “Jackass Number 2,” and “World Trade Center.”

Look at those titles again. Thank Baby Jesus the bitch is gone.

“American Idol” = ruination of American music.

“Nacho Libre” = projected lobotomy.

“Jackass: Number 2″ = projected, shit-smeared lobotomy. With testicles. And Bam Margera crying like a bitch. I actually like that last part, though.

“World Trade Center” = Boring Oscar-bait.

CYA, GAIL!

  1. Haha, yes very very true on each comment made. I can’t stand any of those films(or TV shows for that matter) with the exception of WTC which I don’t plan on watching again, but it was better than the others mentioned. Good thing she’s gone.

Sopranos I woudl say is probably the only decent thing that came out of that deal.

  2. I’ve never really seen the Soprano’s, but looking at her film output alone.

    She won’t be missed
