Thank you Fox. And thanks to OWF reader Lencho for the link!

Now Fox, you need to go that one step further and get this bad boy in HD for the rest of the world to see how good a job you have done with the first trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Skipping the usual “teaser” step they went full whack into a full length trailer and although it’s in crappy shaky guerrilla styled shot youtube format… it still kicks ass.

There is just so much to take in, what a vast amount of footage (J.J. Abrams you hearing me!) we have just seen for a movie that comes out in May.

I love the focus on drama over action but when the action comes, it looks exciting and as violent a movie as you could want from a Wolverine picture that’s not rated R. Danny Huston will rule as Stryker and is just about the only actor I could think of who is convincing as a younger version of Brian Cox.

Deadpool with no mask, I can’t understand that unless you are trying to seduce the female audience with a good look at Ryan Reynolds. He looks like he walked into the wrong movie here… maybe he should be in G.I. Joe or Ninja Assassin.

Something tells me he took this job because he was pissed DC/Warner Bros. didn’t want him as The Flash.

Liev Schreiber I’m not convinced works as Sabertooth. From the trailer, you can see why they have gone for a more dramatic actor but he’s almost playing it camp here… trying too hard to be intense. I’m not sure this role was ever suppose to be for him.

And Gambit… boy did the Con love Gambit! ABOUT GOD DAMN TIME is what I say. I don’t know much about Taylor Kitsch, the actor playing him but I always loved to hate Gambit in the comics and animated t.v. show – and this guy certainly has that look about him to trigger that reaction.

Hopefully this film rejuvenates interest in a getting the crew back together for X-Men 4. There’s still so many avenues not yet explored with this franchise…. which only just felt like it got going. Mr. Gavin Hood (director of Rendition), I am impressed my friend.

Yeah, yeah have to admit it does look quite good.

I didn’t really recognize the Gambit character til I gave it a second look. Don’t know how the audience recognized him.
Anyway, it looks pretty strong. And to think, for the last year or so everyone was so worried this film would be utter crap.
I’m not saying it will be Dark Knigt or anything, but it looks like it’ll be worth 10 bucks to see.

Deadpool… without a mask. Without the full bodysuit…

Ok. I can handle it. But he’d better be hilarious.

It looks a lor better than I was expecting. And Fox seems to be sticking to the idea of a young X-Men film…
