Fox Atomic have acquired the rights to the spec script of Space Invader and no it’s not based on that cool arcade game of the 80’s!
Instead, this is a comedy set aboard a space-station, and the love triangle of three astronauts. Will Arnett is attached to star, who according to IMDB has no less than 9 movies (10 with this one!) coming out in the next two years.
The biggest of those ten movies are probably the two Will Ferrell movies Blades of Glory and Semi-Pro.
The timing of the move is apparantley un-related to the recent arrest of astronaut Lisa Nowak who attempted to murder a woman who she believed was a love rival to a fellow astronaut.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this guy in anything before, but he’s sure become popular with Hollywood producers at the moment. Not much else is known about the movie, but I for one, am very disappointed it’s not based on the video game!
