I’ve seen the trailers for THE SPIRIT a few times this week, I actually think the movie looks so much better on the big screen than it does watching it at home on the P.C.
Don’t get me wrong, it still looks like a complete mess and it doesn’t work anywhere close to how SIN CITY worked but when you see it on that big screen, it’s the dialogue, the characterisation and just the horrible way the trailer is cut that makes the movie look awful and not particularly the visuals…
THE SPIRIT opens on Christmas Day (U.S.) and first week of January in the U.K.

IMHO, that poster’s a lot better than the individual ones. The womens’ face with the words written on them just looked horrible to me.
As for the movie, if you asked me a few months ago, I’d have said it looked pretty bad, but it’s looking ebtter to me every time now. Either it was the victim of the worst previews in history, or it’s actually bad and is now having one of the best. Time will tell…
