When it comes to the big summer blockbusters of 2008 there’s one film that seems to get frequently overlooked: SPEED RACER.
The film, directed by The Wachowski’s and produced by Joel Silver, has the advantage of getting a May release (always handy if you want a film to have summer legs) and is allegedly a family friendly romp that’ll boast some amazing live-action cartoon style visuals.
I don’t think for a second that it’ll trouble Indiana Jones or Batman but I wouldn’t be shocked if it made some serious coin and helped the Wachowski’s regain some of the cred the threw away with THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS.
Superherohype have posted a video from the set of the all green screen movie that shows LOST star Matthew Fox giving Entertainment Tonight an exclusive tour.

I think this guy is awesome and it would’ve been great if they’d cast him as Superman in the JUSTICE LEAGUE film.
