Arrested Development was one of the finest sitcoms ever made. If you’re looking for a live-action version of The Simpsons in it’s witty, hilarious and heartfelt prime then look no further than the Bluth family. Jason Bateman and Michael Cera, who played father and son in that show are back together in Jason Reitman’s Juno.
This first still comes by way of Slash Film, and shows Cera feeling Ellen Page’s baby bump. Guess what, Michael, you’re the daddy! Juno focuses on a teen high schooler who’s hit with an unwanted pregnancy, she finds a young couple (played by Bateman and Jennifer Garner) looking to adopt.
Director Reitman showed a lot of promise with Thank You For Smoking (I still think that movie is merely good, not great), Cera captures the awkwardness of adolescence perfectly and Page looks like an actress with a big future ahead of her. Juno is definitely one to keep an eye on.

I’ve seen the script and if the director has managed to capture even a fraction of humour in it, this will be excellent. I’m particularly excited to see the opening shot of the film.
I can’t wait!
