First look at Denzel Washington’s THE BOOK OF ELI!

Warner Bros. have released the first image from THE BOOK OF ELI, Denzel Washington’s sci-fi/apoclayptic action thriller which is being directed by The Hughes Brothers (FROM HELL).

Washington plays a lone hero who must fight across America to bring society the knowledge that could be key to it’s in a not-too-distant “end of the world” future.

Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis, Ray Stevenson and Jennifer Beals co-star… the movie opens January next year.

Premise sounds int’resting. Hopefully the Hughes Brothers will be able to create something of value far above their actual talents.

Then again I’ll see anything with Denzel’s name on it.

I loved the Hughes Brothers’ first 2 films, and From Hell was…. OK. Hopefully this will be a good return to form after a long absence.
