The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer trailer that has been shown round cinema’s over the weekend has finally made it’s way online in quality quicktime.
I like what the trailer is doing by not showing us tons of jump cuts and action shots. Instead we see bits of one scene and I would love other trailers to do the same kind of thing.
Unfortuantely though what they show isn’t all that exciting. There is a kind of fun chase scene but it’s not really enough to win me over yet. The Silver Surfer looks a little disapointing, he still looks lifeless.
Looks better than the first movie’s trailer, but so far it’s not enough for me.

Well, I agree with you that they should make more trailers like this, but I don’t agree that it is underwhelming. I am just confused as to what the Silver Surfer can do to be an effective bad guy. As far as I know, Galactus (the world-eating being for which the Silver Surfer acts as herald) is not in this movie, so….can the Silver Surfer actually carry this movie?? That is the main question.
Is Galactus not in the movie? I was under the impression he was with Silver Surfer being his understudy.
I could be wrong though.
The trailer was pretty good, it’s just the look of the Silver Surfer. That’s what’s going to get me in theatres at the end of the day because of the quality of the terrible first movie and I just didn’t think it looked all that great.
I thought the trailer was great but I think the surfer is unfinished because imo the cgi still needs work.
