I’ve never seen an episode of Family Guy. Only watched little bits of clips here and there but I’ve never actually sat down and watched a full show. I really only have time for one animated show in my life and in truth I barely watch The Simpsons now-a-days or television for that matter.
But I know Family Guy has a big following and for many it’s become the show they watch now that they have been turned off by Homer and his antics.
Seth McFarlane the creator of the show has told The Hollywood Reporter that they are looking into the possibility of making a Family Guy movie somewhere down the road. The reason they haven’t done one already is the difficulty in finding the time to make a movie along with the regular episodes of the show which is something which delayed a Simpsons movie for years and years and years.
There’s some quotes over at the trade but there’s nothing all that interesting. In-fact this is hardly even news at all is it?
Could a Family Guy movie work then guys? Would you pay to sit and watch 90 minutes of it in your local cinema screen when you can watch regular episodes for free on television? Is it popular enough for a movie?

I only just spotted this article.
There already is a Family Guy movie. And I own it! It’s great. Essentially just 3 episodes clagged together but it works and I belive was a great success on DVD. I don’t think it got a release at the Cinema (certainly not a wide one).

Furthermore, Season 4 was awful. I haven’t got round to seeing any of the new stuff (I think it’s season 5 now anyway?) but from what I heard they picked the game back up.
It’s season 6 we’re on now – I’m sure I’ve told you this twice already :P
